My heart is breaking today. My granddaughter's puppy Chase is being put down. Saturday he developed a spine problem and his hindquarters are paralyzed. Just now I looked up and saw him pulling himself down the hallway so that he could go out to pee. As I ran to pick him up and carry him outside it just really hit me. I can't even imagine what my granddaughter is going through as he has been her constant companion for 12 years.
