Within hours of the tragedy on Friday the anti-gun crowd began using it to further their political agenda. I want to cry every time I think of a Christmas tree with a present that will never be opened and Nancy Pelosi wants an assault rifle ban. Even though assault rifles had nothing to do with this. Twenty dead children and the first thing the anti-gun crowd does is think that now they can win the anti-gun battle. This is beyond pathetic.
Here's a challenge for you. State ONE law that would've prevented this tragedy.
If your answer is "I don't know, but we have to do something" then you're thinking emotionally not logically.
If your answer is "Ban all guns" then you need to cut out the wishful thinking. Guns are banned in Chicago and the murder rate is the highest in the country. But nobody cares about dead children in Chicago.
You will NEVER, EVER, get guns out of the hands of criminals. All you'll do is prevent me from defending myself against those criminals.
