By now, you've probably heard of the recording of "moral authority" "Father" Michael Pfleger calling for John "R-i-g-g-i-o", the owner of a Chuck's Gun Shop (along with "legislators" who don't support citizen disarmament) to be "snuffed out."

Sounds like it to me....

The father of Josh Hancock filed suit Thursday, claiming a restaurant provided drinks to the St. Louis Cardinals relief pitcher even though he was intoxicated prior to the crash that killed him.

The suit, filed in St. Louis Circuit Court by Dean Hancock of Tupelo, Miss., does not specify damages. Mike Shannon's Restaurant, owned by the longtime Cardinals broadcaster who starred on three World Series teams in the 1960s, is a defendant in the case along with Shannon's daughter, Patricia Shannon Van Matre, the restaurant manager. 

Other defendants include Eddie's Towing, the company whose flatbed tow truck was struck by Hancock's sport utility vehicle in the early hours of April 29; tow truck driver Jacob Edward Hargrove; and Justin Tolar, the driver whose stalled car on Interstate 64 was being assisted by Hargrove.

Does this man think his son's irresponsibility is just like a lottery ticket?  Hancock was never taught how to say "No thanks, I'm driving"??  His death is unfortunate but ultimately he was the one that picked up the glass and drank.

The House Appropriations Committee has decided to insert earmarks into all of the FY08 spending bills during the conferencing committees, instead of during the initial House-only process. This will prevent lawmakers like Jeff Flake from offering amendments to strip out wasteful pork projects...which is EXACTLY why David Obey, the Approps Chairman, is changing the rules.

Some of these guys make Hugo Chavez look ethical.

DeBose said he knows that a gun doesn't solve Cleveland's violence problem; it's merely a street equalizer.

"There are too many people who are just evil and mean-spirited. They will hurt you for no reason. If more people were packing guns, it might serve as a deterrent.

I'm just glad that DeBose was able to learn this lesson and live.

Because it's so embarrassing when GFWs  like you wet their pants at the thought of someone owning a gun?

Andrew, Andrew, Andrew....   You just don't get it.   This wasn't about gun ownership, it was about privacy.  It was about not providing a shopping list for gun theft.  It was about not outing some abused spouse that had relocated and felt they needed a carry permit to keep from getting killed the next time.

Cingular thinks it can determine who gets to link to their website, according to this snippet from their terms of service agreement. Somehow their lawyers operate under this misconception that they're in a position of being to grant, or revoke, the "right" to create a hypertextual link to their site. The likely intent is to try to set the stage so that then they could basically sue someone for linking to their website.

What a bunch of asshats!
