Oh Canada. My family and heritage.

There are times I want to just skip over the Canadian in my family tree.  After all my mother was only born there to British parents and naturlized in her 20's.  Although I have ties to Canada that can't be ignored.  Aunts and Uncles and cousins and friends.  But something is not right with this case.  My Uncle Charlie died on the beaches of Sicily with the Canadian Armed Forces.  When did Canada become so midde of the fence not to say pacifistic?
