Link: BLACKFIVE: Aiding and Abetting the Enemy.
LTC Ryan's letter published on Blackfive yesterday is a good read. But this isn't the first time I've heard that the news from Iraq isn't really all the news there is, just the stuff that sells. It's akin to what mainstream media has been doing for years. All bad news and no good news. Happy news doesn't make money. But I feel that what's coming from Iraq is worse than that as it tends to show all the bad things that happen to our military and that is done by our military. Or at least "appears" to be done by our military. When the marine shot that Iraqi he was doing the right thing. The previous squad had not left any informatin indicating these individuals were clear and awaiting medical treatment. This man simply say an enemy unit apparently playing dead and about to carry out a plan to kill one or more marines. It's unfortunate but he did his job. No one that wasn't in his position has any right to question his actions. Period.
