I put the paper in the box and with it, there were tears that I couldn't hold; I was trembling with joy and I felt like I wanted to hug the box but the supervisor smiled at me and said "brother, would you please move ahead, the people are waiting for their turn". Yes brothers, proceed and fill the box! These are stories that will be written on the brightest pages of history.

I think Citizen Smash reminds us of what the war in Iraq is about regardless of the reaons for it starting.  It's not about bringing Democracy to Iraq.  It's about bringing freedom to the Iraqis.  Democracy is what they are now free to choose.

At the bottom of this article at Blackfive is a link to Teddy shooting off his mouth.  I'm sorry, but does anyone really believe this clown.  I think his whole goal in life is to simply say the opposite of whatever Republican is in the news.  In my book he has zero credibility.  Of course perhaps he's meant to be the Democratic lightning rod.  He says something so outrageous that no one notices the lesser maneuvering of the left.

I think VW should just get a grip.  Rather than tracking down and persecuting prosecuting the makers of this ad they should just say "We didn't authorize that" and let go.  I'm starting to wonder if they're worried about their image or the terroists.  Personally I thought it was one of the funniest things I've seen since the last JibJab.

Lots of readers want to know whether Juan Manuel Alvarez, the man being held in connection with the deadly Glendale commuter train derailment, is an illegal alien.

So what are you trying to get to here Michelle?  That illegal immigrants cause train wrecks?  That if our borders were totally secure this wouldn't have happened?

Alvarez reportedly does have a prior record involving drugs. If he is here illegally, it would be no surprise if he had been released back onto the streets after serving time on drug charges (assuming he served any time all). As I've noted before and noted today in my column, there is still no system for tracking criminal illegal alien felons and other inmates.

Oh wait.  He was a druggie.  That's the problem.  Or simply that he was released back onto the streets.  I thought every criminal was released back onto the streets after serving their time.  That's why it's called "time".

Geez Michelle.  Personally I think the death penalty (quick and soon) would be in order for this guy, but blaming the influx of illegal aliens or drugs sounds more like a personal agenda.

Dave Winer seems a bit uniformed. Or just clueless

The ear-pricking scene punctuated a two-day conference on ``Blogging, Journalism and Credibility'' at Harvard University at which a Johnny Appleseed of blogging, Harvard fellow Dave Winer, had compared established media to the mainframe computers rendered obsolete by desktop PCs and Macs.

After seeing this little item at The Mudville Gazette via Instapundi I think that Dave Winer should limit his metaphors to his area of expertise.  Although since he's at Havard you'd think he'd have learned something by now.  Oh wait..   He's in Law.  I guess that must explain his total cluelessness about the current state of mainframe computers.  Many businesses attempted to downsize from the mainframe and in many cases found that nothing had the transactional processing power they needed.  So rather than replacing mainframes with a network, the mainframes became part of the network.  And the idea that PCs made Mainframes obsolete is ridiculous.  So Dave...  stick to law..  thanks
