I just really don't understand this argument. How will my carry a gun put a random person in danger of being "blown away"? It makes absolutely no sense to me.

But the mental image of Joe the Plumber holding a shotgun scares the bejeezus out of them, because it's hard to break Joe the Plumber to the saddle of big government when he's holding a shotgun.
