The government is racing to find answers to the gas price, but the
problem is that there isn't one. Gas isn't higher now than it's ever
been. Certainly not in adjusted dollars. And certainly not for me.
It cost me less than an hours wages to fill the tank in my Saturn. It
used to take better than 5 hours wages to fill the tank in my '67
Camaro in 1971. And that was before it really hit the fan.
So what's going on? Basically it's the governments fault. When Exxon, and others, had their facilities stolen
nationalized by foreign governments the US did nothing. So rather than
sell their own oil, the oil companies have to buy oil at market rates
to sell to us. Probably the one thing that would cut gas prices the
most is removing the taxes. However then congress couldn't build pet
projects at home.
Don't like the price of gas? Don't buy it. Maybe you should start
walking to the corner store for your smokes. And while walking back
you can think of how much the government gets off each one of those
If you don't believe that your right to gun ownership also means that your neighbor has the right to put any substance he wants into his body, as long as neither of you harm each other, then you are not a friend of freedom, but merely another selective statist.
It ain't about the guns. It's about individual freedom. Freedom to kill yourself is just as important as freedom to defend yourself.

I wouldn't be surprised if the 'gun guys' had to post while wearing hip boots. The statistics show as more guns are carried by law-abiding citizens, murder and assault rates goes down. The 'gun guys' are lying through their teeth.
