Found a couple of links on Michelle's blog about guns and bloggers.  SarahK's story is very funny but Jason's not so much.  But I'm a bit concerned about Jason's story for a number of reasons.  First the story itself didn't seem to be available to read but I was able to gather some idea of what happened.  If I've got it wrong then feel free to correct me.  Second based on what I've read Jason may have caused some of the trouble he's in.

People I'm very much opposed to most of the gun laws on the books today.  I'm an outspoken advocate of Individual Rights as manadated by the Bill of Rights.  But for god's sake let's work to change the law's.  Confrontation with the cop's is just going nowhere.  We need to live with the law's until they're changed.  Push the letter and the spirit of the law but don't break it.  Educate the ignorant, don't get in their face and shout about your rights.

later that same evening:

Ok, I think I might have stated that badly.  I didn't mean to imply Jason did all that although I did get the impression that he was less than fully cooperative.  But all too often I see "self defense advocates" coming off as "gun-nuts".
